A friend told me that she believed that we are all born with the potential to become a better person and make a better life given the right breaks.

I went for a job interview for a pretty rubbish job that I didnt really want, but I needed a job. I didn't get it. I wrote 'North' just singing to myself in the car on the way home, at a very low ebb.

I believe its not the things that happen to you that define you, it's how you respond to those things that forge the real you. I decided i could keep on 'heading up' to the North of my potential better life.
